Tournament Teams

We have a few tournament teams here at Phoenix. Our teams travel around to local area tournaments to compete. We currently have 2, 3-man Intermediate teams, and 1, 3-man Advanced team. We have 9 players on our roster currently and we are usually looking for more players. For more information on how to join our team please read on. We are building a 5-man team for next season to play in CFOA, GFOA, and ACES.

What sets our team apart from many other fields, is that we don’t go around and look for only “superstar” players. We look for kids, young men, or women who have the drive and motivation to want improve their game, and give them the skills necessary to move to the upper ranks of tournament paintball through hard work and practice. Many of the players on our Intermediate teams had no previous tournament experience, and are now placing in higher ranks at very competitive tournaments. Most of the coaching of our Intermediate teams comes from our Advanced team. In fact, the captain of the Advanced team is also the head coach, and manager of Phoenix, Wynn DeVault. He has 3 years of sponsored tournament team experience, and has been playing for 8 years total. If you would like to join our team check back often to find out when the next tryouts are. We practice every Sunday at 1:00pm, unless we have a tournament. Call the pro shop on Saturday to find out if the team is practicing, and come on down. We are always looking for new people to practice with, and if you show the potential to be a top tournament player, you may find yourself with a spot on the team. We are also looking for some players with experience on other sponsored teams, for our Advanced team.
